As the Thanksgiving holida approaches I find myself thinking more and more about how good God is to someone like me.
I am so undeserving. Yet he bestows blessings for me in every area of my life, from family to friends, to a good job a nice home and food on my table and clothes to wear............
I don't know about you but let's take a little time to be thankful!!!

Not so spring cleaning by Sarah
It's been a clean-tactic weekend.
Moved the desk from the master bedroom to the empty nook in the kitchen. Now every one can use it and hopefully the mail won't be everywhere.

I decided not to skip over Thanksgiving after all. I opened my box of fall decorations and had a trip down memory lane. Almost all the fall stuff I have was my moms. She made Mr. Turkey herself and it has been out at Thanksgiving as long as I can remember. How could I not put it out? I decided the piano was a good out of the way place for it all.

I took all the junk off the mantel and put our leather wine boxes there for now.

I decided to move my dads glass case to the wall next to the kitchen. I think it goes better there. Excuse the random vacuum cleaner in the picture. Oh and the plywood island top. Maybe Santa will bring me a granite slab for Christmas.

I put my moms rocking chair in the bedroom. And then I put random boxes of Christmas stuff next to it. Haha. I just could see putting it on the top shelf in the garage only to make my husband get it down in a week or two.

And on that note, I leave you with this thought:

Pee wee football by Eileen
OK so you guys know that my son in a Pee wee football league and plays Flag football.

These kids are all 7/8 yr old OK. So we have been having a wonderful season (not like the professional team we all love and even though they are not doing so well we still love). We are currently #1 in the league. Whoop Whoop!!!

So there have been a few teams that we have played and lets just say the HEAD coaches and the players parents have not had very good sportsmanship. They (coaches) have been throwing temper tantrums on the field in front of these kids, the parents have been telling the boys to get aggressive to the point where these kids have now started to beat up on our players. My son keep telling me after every game "MOM! They were crying like babies because they lost. They just need to play fair and play nice".

OK so the head coaches of these two teams are on the board of directors for the league. In my mind this presents a big conflict of issues or am I wrong. They accuse us of cheating and so many other things. :(

Our coaches have been teaching our boys that if you apply yourself and listen, you can achieve what you set out to accomplish. So we are just going to let this be water under the bridge dust our feet off and keep doing what we know to do best: Cheer our boys one and be proud of them no matter what happens.

To the coaches and players of the Garland Peewee Flag National Team:

Thankwhating? by Sarah
I'm trying really really hard not to skip over thanksgiving. This is the first year that I've had a hard time doing so. I think it must be because our house is actually kinda finished now and my Christmas decorations will look even more awesome this year. I'm way ready. A little birdy told that Eileen already put her trees up... I have some catching up to do!!
