Fall is here! by Sarah

On a scale of 1 - 10, 10 being really disturbing, how disturbing is it that I'm excited to go to bed because I know on my way back into the office tomorrow morning I'll pick up another pumpkin spice latte?

Good Morning by Sarah

1. I just got these shoes in the mail yesteday from Target. I already I own them in brown but felt I needed them in black.

2. Next to getting married and having/making babies there is no better feeling than wearing your new cute shoes.

3. I need to shave my legs.

4. Is there any grosser place than the ground outside a gas station? Seriously. It was gross. I'm surprised that was never incorperated into Fear Factor. Unless I missed that episode.

5. My calves are ultra jiggly. I have zero muscle mass. If it wasn't for the fat on my legs i'd look like OliveOil on Poppye.

6. My toe nails need to be painted. I plan on painting the big toes in my car and letting it dry as I drive to work so that I will look more professional at work.

Good morning.

August = Crazy by Sarah

August is insane.

The 11th was our 4th wedding anniversary. We went to our favorite spot, Texas de Brazil. That's where that flower arangement picture I posted earlyer came from. It's pretty dark in the so sorry for the grain but here we are!!

You can't tell, but I'm wearing my wedding dress. Chew on that thought for a minute.

The 13th marked the 2nd anniversary of my moms death. Which tends to make me think about this.

Maybe I'll explain that to you someday. Just not today.
I was off work the day before so I drove out to the cemetary where my great grandfather, great grandmother, grandmother, and some of my moms ashes are at. It was always important to her that she go visit them on important dates. I can remeber her being upset when she became too ill to take the trip out there. So I feel great honor when I go out there. I know it makes her proud.

And on a side note, it was 103 degrees outside that day. 103. Mama if your listening tell Jesus I need some points for that one.

...if you never saw my mom and I together in action that might seem rude or disrespectful but trust me, it's just funny... :)

TODAY the 17th is my hubbys birthday. I gave him what is probably the most white trash hick gift I've ever given anyone in my a whole life: a 62 piece gun cleaning kit. Can you here the banjos? But he did like it. I'm glad. I know it's not the most exciting gift in the world... But he is so hard to shop for! If the man ever wants anything he has usually bought it before I even knew he wanted it. Lord.

Happy Burfday baby. I love you.

Next week I leave for Alaska!!! Don't worry, I'll blog as often as I can!! WWHHAALLEESS!!

SILC in August by Sarah

Its hot.

HOT.

Okay. Now that that's out of the way, we met this August on our two year silcaversary.
We went to Nee Nee's Tea Room which is located inside of Cobwebs Antiques in downtown Plano. The little antique shop was cute. I didn't actually know that the tea room was located inside them so I was excited to know we had some on site shopping we could do!

Room

The tea room was very small inside. I felt like it was decorated a little sparcely. The walls were bright yellow which I don't think I would have done but I do understand the train of thought: small closed in space needing bright lively color. I get it. But still.

Sign

Our food, once we finally got to order it, was very good. But be warned, the sandwiches were a little on the small side. I recommend getting the full sandwich order and not the half sandwich special. If you are anything like these four hungry women, trust me, you'll need the other half. But they all came with fresh fruit! The soup of the day was Chicken Taco which all of us really loved except Eileen. But then again... lets be serious. It was Eileen. :) Love you!

Fruit

I had the "special" of the day. A grilled cheese. When asked what was so wonderful about their grilled cheese the waitress told us they used two different kinds of cheeses.
SHUT THE FRONT DOOR.
Twoooo different cheeses?

.....

Really?

That's it?
Ok. So I tried it. Why not. If its good enough for Nee Nee its good enough for me! While I must say the super (not) original use two different cheeses did leave me wanting, the bread that it was served on was very well prepared. It looked like a normal white bread that was done like a garlic toast: just enough garlic with out being over powering and not so much butter that the bread was soggy. In the words of Goldie Locks it was jjjuussstt right.

Grilled Cheese

Dorothy had a Deli sandwich with Turkey, Cheese, and Mustard. Again. Not super original but tasty none the less. Dorothy, believe or not, got the half sandwich special. And a cup, not a bowl of the soup. GASP! A Silc first!

Eileen and Kelly both took one step for mankind when they ordered a chicken salad sandwich. A tea room must. According to them, it was very good! And believe you me these ladies have tasted their fair share of chicken salad sandwiches. They also ordered the half sandwich special but later ordered and extra sandwich to split due to us being Americans.

We then had a somewhat lack luster photo shoot. I mean... when they best shot we get is from the "silly" photo... its not a good sign. See for yourself:

I don't know why we put Kelly in that chair. It looks like... "Hi. This is Eileen, Dorothy, Sarah, and their paraplegic friend Kelly!" Again. Not our best photo moment. I blame the photographer... yeah... the photographer.

So all in all... would I recommend Nee Nee's Tea Room? Hmm... I guess if you were shopping in DT Plano and were just hungry it would be okay, I mean the food was good, but I wouldn't do like the other people that were at the tea room today and host my bridal shower there. No.

Yuk by Sarah

So... About two years ago my husband bought one of those 5 free oil change cards that they sell door to door from Goodyear. It was great. Friendly people. Clean office. No long waits. We were very sad when we ran out of coupon space with them.

Fastforward almost two years and he let's me know he got another one but from a different company: Aamco. I was excited! However... My excitement was misguided. If we had known how retarded they were, we would have never bought it.

They say they are always busy, but I don't ever see that many cars out there. Seems more
Like they are under staffed to me.

They require appointments. For an oil change... For realz. But! Having an appointment doesn't mean that you will get serviced any faster. Wrap your brain around that one! Appointments are hard to come by. I'm sitting in their office right now for an appointment that I had to book two weeks in advance. TWO WERKS. Seriously. That's silly.

Oh... And the office... It's dirty. Now I don't claim to have the cleanest house on the street. Niecy Nash is bound to knock at my door any day now.

But seriously. This place is gross. I took a picture under their couch. This man at the front desk probably officially thinks I'm crazy now. The picture doesn't even show the half of it. It's not just dust bunny build up under there. It looks... Gunky. Bleh. Gunky. What a terrible word but it is fitting in this instance. Guuunky.

Behold the gunk!

I miss you Goodyear.
